INDICATION

Technique that uses the patient's own fat, called autologous fat, to restore consistency and volume to areas that have lost it. Uses of lipofilling for reconstructive purposes mainly concern the improvement of painful scars and post-traumatic and oncological treatments.

TECHNIQUE

Fat collection from the donor site (usually the abdomen) and its transfer after processing to the recipient sites.

ANESTHESIA

Local anesthesia and editing. In some cases general anesthesia.

DURATION OF THE PROCEDURE 30 min - 1h

HOSPITALIZATION -

POSTOPERATIVE

The fat transfer leaves bruises on the treated area that tend to gradually disappear in 7-10 days. Also in this first period, 30-40% of the transferred fat is lost, which does not survive the treatment. The remaining 60-70%, however, becomes permanently part of the tissues.
